Course Outline
A eight session course covering: History, Biology, Hiveware, Siting a hive, The Law, Products from the hive, Seasonal Management, Bee Diseases + lots, lots more.
Kim Kneijber and Carol Downer are the tutors. They are both passionate about bee keeping and their bees. They have been beekeeping for over 15 years and manage 30+ hives each. They bring two different and diverse perspectives, which compliment each other very well.
“I had had a hive for just over a year but still wasn’t confident about managing my bees, I’d even considered giving them up. This course answered all my questions and gave me the knowledge to become a much more confident beekeeper. I’ve been to ‘evening classes’ before and there has always been a huge number of dropouts but I think this course would have had at least a 90% completion rate. Kim and Carol were brilliant and never boring.”
Sally Petersen, ABC member.
