ABC Field Days Events

All advertised Field Days and meetings are held. If the weather is unsuitable to open hives, an alternative programme is held under cover. We provide tea and coffee at lunchtime.
For lunch bring your own or something to share. Some hives will be opened in the morning and others at the conclusion of the talks.

Field days are held on the second Saturday of the month at the ABC apiary in Point Chevalier, public are welcome to join us on these days.

March 9th - Field day and Honey Show
Honey Show entries need to be received by 11am

               - Robbing - causes, what to do when it happens
               - Wax rendering - turning your wax into blocks
               - Storing honey boxes - wets
               - Wasps and other hive pests


April 13th Field day and working bee
Working Bee - start time to be confirmed
- Morning start to get the garden and grounds around the apiary looking good.
- Bring your gardening tools!
