The Auckland Beekeepers Club is a community based Incorporated Society that plays a prominent part in the local Auckland community in a variety of ways.
The club has a strong focus on teaching the art of beekeeping.
The monthly field days usually start with a practical “How to,” make or do something in regard to the hives, or a working bee to maintain the area around the site.
After lunch there is a lecture/and or discussions covering current “What to do now” in the apiary and other topics of interest, including guest speakers. Weather permitting, there is usually a practical hands on in one of the clubs 6 hives.
Our club provides a wonderful venue for anyone interested in the Bee or the art of Beekeeping. If we can be of further assistance please contact us.
A reasonable standard of dress is required. We provide a limited number of beekeeping suits and veils.
Please do not bring any equipment to the apiary, as it is a quarantine site.
This is a family Club and it is asked that all members behave accordingly.
We encourage members to bring children to the Club but do ask that they are properly supervised at all times.
