Beginners Beekeeping Course

Course Outline
A 16 hour course covering: History, Biology, Hiveware, Siting a hive, The Law, Products from the hive, Seasonal Management, Bee Diseases + lots more.
Kim Kneijber and Ken Brown are the tutors. They are passionate about bee keeping and their bees. They have been beekeeping for many years and have managed up to 40 hives each. They are both AP2 inspectors with the NZBB and teach level three apiculture externally.

BOOK YOUR COURSE
You must be registered as a Club Member. Visit our Membership page to Register.
Already a member, then log into our Members Portal and purchase your course to confirm a spot. Note: From the menu choose TASKS then PURCHASES and BOOKINGS.
Get in quick as spots are limited and fill quickly.
The course fee for a club member is $160. You can start attending field days giving you some practical experience while you wait for the course to start.
If, as a club member, you want to bring one other family member (who is living in the same household sharing the same email address (for club communications) please buy them an additional family member ticket, the cost is $160
If you need to cancel your booking the following cancellation policy applies:
Cancellation more than 2 weeks from course start – refund less $20 administration fee.
Cancellation less than 2 weeks from course start – NO refund.
Exceptional or extenuating circumstances will be taken into account.
