Learn the art of beekeeping
No matter your experience, there’s a place for you in our hive.
Welcome to
AUCKLAND BeekeepERS Club
Discover the art of beekeeping and the fascinating world of honey bees. Based in Sandringham, Auckland, our club is set on a sunny, bee-friendly site where nature thrives at its best.
With 7 teaching hives and a committee holding more than 1,000 years of combined beekeeping experience, we’re passionate about sharing our knowledge with new and experienced beekeepers.
The Apiary
At our Sandringham site, we maintain 7 thriving teaching hives. Members can join a Hive Team, gaining hands-on experience that helps our colonies stay healthy and productive.
Wednesday Evening Talks
On the fourth Wednesday of each month, our members and committee host evening talks covering everything from bee biology and seasonal hive management to tackling pests and diseases. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, there’s always something to learn.
Monthly Field Days
Every second Saturday of the month, members and visitors gather for our Field Days. These sessions are a chance to open hives, share learning, and connect with fellow beekeepers. Bring a plate to add to our shared lunch if you’d like.
